Gelida has a population of around 6,000 inhabitants.
It is located about 30 kilometres southwest of Barcelona and about 20 kilometres from the Mediterranean coast.
It is known for its production of high quality wines and cavas. Numerous wineries and wine cooperatives can be found in the area, offering tours and tastings.
It is also known for its historical heritage, with some outstanding buildings and monuments such as the parish church of Santa Maria, the Torre del Veguer, the hermitage of Sant Jaume or the Castell de Gelida.
The town is located in a privileged natural environment, surrounded by mountains and forests. There are several hiking and cycling routes that allow you to enjoy nature and panoramic views.
As for the gastronomy, in addition to the wines and cavas, dishes such as escudella, xató (salad with endive, cod, anchovies, olives and romesco sauce), calçots (a kind of spring onion typical of the area) or snails "a la llauna" stand out.
we dream of sharing our viticulture, our wines and our enthusiasm, we design authentic experiences for our visitors.
